She stands alone...

This was a poem I wrote a while ago (2005 I think). It was an ode to one of my closest friend...

She stands alone on the shore
watching the waves roll over the sands
watching the small crab scurrying to stay dry
escaping the pull and pushes of the moon

She drifts alone
like the bottle tossed into the seas with a message
filled with love, yet need to make it journey on its own
To find a shore, a hand which may treasure it
or a hand that might toss it back again

She moves alone
like the solitary ship on high waves
braving storms and tides to destinations unknown
all under the command of a higher hand

She cries alone
like the solitary plant in her garden
with dew tear-drops of a lonely night

She walks alone
alone in a crowded world
But with faith
of the love she holds in her heart
of the quiet strength in her soul
of the trying but benevolent power above
